Considered by many to be the finest dive destination in the western hemisphere and second finest in the world, Cozumel is a nearby escape to paradise. Water temperatures range from high 70°’s to low 80°’s, depending on the time of the year.

We love to take new divers to Cozumel. That first ocean dive is an experience of a life time. Scuba divers remember their first dive and Dive West wants to help you be sure it is an outstanding experience.

We generally do two morning dives and if enough people are interested we can add additional afternoon, twilight and night dives. This is a great time to earn additional scuba diving certifications. Nitrox will help you extend your bottom time if you are doing multiple dives a day. Cozumel is a great place for you Drift Diver and Boat Specialty and if you are looking for your Deep Specialty it is much prettier in Cozumel than Lake Travis in Austin!

We recommend you come with either gear you own or rent gear from our shop. This will ensure quality dive experiences and familiarity with equipment, so you focus on the dives and not the gear while in Cozumel.

Other island activities are available, such as horseback riding, tours of Mayan ruins and archaeological sites, and biking. There is fun for the entire family in Cozumel.

Our Cozumel August Trip we will be snorkeling with Whale Sharks! This is an optional add on for the trip.
