Valhalla Missile Silo Diving August 2,3&4 2024
Looking for some adventure diving in Texas?
Want a short weekend trip to dive with friends in a missile silo? Yes, in a missile silo!
Join Dive West® and Sandi Zoch for a unique experience in diving, Valhalla Missile Silo, a decommissioned and diveable Atlas-F thermonuclear intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) silo. It was commissioned in 1955 as part of 12 silos making up the Dyess AFB missile complex near Abilene, TX.
The trip starts 5:00pm Friday August 2nd at the silo. The owner, Mark Hannifin, will give us an introduction to the silo and its operations that night. Following that we are offering a night dive for those interested.
The next day dive up to 3 dives and optionally earn an altitude certification.
Last dive will be Sunday morning so everyone can head home by 12:00pm August 4th.
